How to use YS3060 spectrophotometer to measure Yarn Fabric or Telephone Line

If you have samples like yarn or telephone line, how do you use a colorimeter or spectrophotometer to measure?

Our customers use our model YS3060 spectrophotometer to measure its color difference like this. 

But if we measure the yarn like this way, the light of instrument will leakage and it causes the test result not accuracy. 

So we advice customers to wind the yarn or telephone line arond a flat hard material like a rule. It should be flat and one by one. They use the model YS3060 spectrophotometer to measure it like a flat sample. It will be better and accuracy.
