How to measure pigments color difference with YS3010 spectrophotometer
As we learnd last post for how to measure liquid by using YS3060 grating spectrophotometer, now we will talk about pigments powder color measurement with model YS3010 spectrophotometer.
But please pay attention to this kind of measurement for powder, it is to check the color difference for them not the absolute CIE lab value. you can compare the actual L, a, b value with other brands, but our color difference delta E is very good for customers to use.
Here are the steps to measure calcium carbonate powder color difference by YS3010 portable spectrophotometer.
First, prepare the instrument YS3010 spectrophotometer ready for measurement. Do white and black calibration before using YS3010.
Secondly, pour the calcium carbonate powder into the glass cell that is a optiona accessory called Universal test components ( UTC) for YS3060 & ys3020 & ys3010 grating spectrophotometer.This UTC accessory is optional one to buy if customers need it.
Thirdly, put the glass cell into UTC.
Then measure sample A, and take out of sample A, and compare with sample B. Finally we will get a test result for CIE lab delta E.
If you don't want to use the press button in the instrument, you can connect to PC with our software SQCX by USB cable or Bluetooth functiion, which is very conveninent for measurement.
